In
a few short days the inaugural World of Hurricane Protection Trade
Show and Conference will open at the Greater Ft. Lauderdale/Broward
County Convention Center in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. It is the first and
only event dedicated solely to concerns of the hurricane protection
industry. It is sponsored by the International Hurricane Protection
Association (IHPA), and undoubtedly will be the start of something
big.
There are a great many things going on in the hurricane protection
industry right now, all of them of great importance to the industry.
Now that the new, unified Building Code is in effect in the state
of Florida the next issue will be establishing product testing and
approval procedures, something the IHPA is staying on top of, and
something that will be intently discussed at the conference.
Many of these same issues will be covered in the seminar program of
the conference. But there is more to running a smart, successful business
than knowing the codes. There are insurance and safety concerns as
well as advertising and marketing ideas that can help turn a good,
hard-working business into a secure and thriving success. These too
will be offered at this show.
There is little doubt as well that the hurricane protection industry
is on the brink of rapid expansion. As more Florida counties require
hurricane protectionand as more coastal states follow Floridas
leadthe number of products, suppliers and installers will follow
suit. The exhibitors at the World of Hurricane Protection Trade Show
will showcase the latest and best of whats available running
the gamut from nuts and bolts to business software, storm panels,
shutters of every type and make, tools and motorization.
Hurricane Protection magazine is happy and proud to produce and be
a part of the World of Hurricane Protection Trade Show and Conference.
It is an important event that comes at an important time for an industry
on the verge of great achievement. We even plan on having a bit of
fun while were at it. See you in Ft. Lauderdale! |
