• Liberty Series—these blast-resistant steel windows are
offered in response to the growing need for added security and protection
in today’s environment along with a commitment to safety, quality
and distinction.
These windows have been successfully open-air tested and meet the
General Services Administration’s (GSA) security criteria for
level C blast-resistant widows. This rating designated the protection
level as “very high” and the hazard level as “none.”
Liberty steel windows are custom manufactured from heavy custom hot-rolled
steel sections in fixed and ventilated configurations. Fully fusion-welded

Level or better. Hurd’s impact products meet impact testing
specification requirements in all states that currently have regulations
related to impact products.

Units are composed of a piece of heavy polyvinyl butyral (PVB) plastic
interlayer sandwiched between two pieces of double-strength glass.

tempered glass to form an insulating glass (IG) unit. The IG unit,
which has been sealed together to form a strong, impact-resistant
bond, is then glazed into the sash to hold the glass in the frame.
The glazing process uses a structural back bedding system to ensure
the entire unit passes impact tests and performs admirably in installed
